What affects the price of 3D printing
How Pricing Works
The price of every 3D print depends on several factors.
Pricing Formula
The estimated price includes a fixed setup cost plus variable material and machine costs:
Price = Setup Fee + (Material Cost + Machine Cost) × 1.15
Where:
- Setup Fee — fixed per-print cost covering bed preparation, calibration, and post-processing
- Material Cost — based on model volume, infill density, and material price per kg
- Machine Cost — based on model volume and material-specific print time coefficient (BaseTime)
- 1.15 — waste and overhead buffer (15%)
